Family Safety Day
Family Safety Day has been a long standing event in or region, with 2024 being the 26th annual event. It brings together non-profits, businesses and regional services to showcase a wide variety of family safety and awareness topics with fun activities. It is a free event to attend and explore while food purchased by donation, basket raffle tickets, dunk tank balls and 50/50 sales will help raise money for Safe Community Wood Buffalo and Fort McMurray Search and Rescue Society. We are grateful to the event sponsors and would like to thank Coverall Uniform Linen and Mats as well as Camp yogi Society for their gracious contributions to this years event.
Helmet Trade In
Family Safety Day is often known for the big helmet trade in. Families can bring their helmets that are expired, damaged, in poor condition or outgrown and trade them in for new ones. The helmet trade in is for children 18 and under, we do not trade helmets for adults. The child must be present to be properly fitted for a new helmet. If you do not have a helmet to trade in, new helmets will be available for purchase for $20. Our Helmets and Bike Safety Programming has been sponsored this year by Canadian Natural. Thank you for the commitment to our Bicycle Safety programing.
